UAH launches a program to support students with technological needs

In order to help students who have difficulty following online teaching, Universidad de Alcalá, thanks to the donation of the General University Foundation (FGUA), has acquired 200 laptops. These computers will be borrowed to students who request it until the end of the course.

Laptops have a 15.6 inch screen, webcam and the software required for use. Students who require one of these laptops can apply by completing the following web form: https://www.uah.es/es/conoce-la-uah/organizacion-y-gobierno/equipo-de-direccion/formulario-de-prestamo-de-portatiles/ .

As the Vice-Chancellor for Graduate Studies and Students, Jorge Pérez Serrano, points out, this measure aims to relieving the adverse consequences of COVID-19 that students and teachers are facing, and it joins other initiatives launched by the UAH: 'We are confident that this measure, along with many others, such as the delay in payment of the outstanding monthly payments until September or the cancellation of the tuition fees in cases where it has been impossible to continue teaching, help to relieve some of the problems that COVID19 has caused'.
