The IQH launches the virtual exhibition entitled 'Life in Bullets' by cartoonist Raquel Gu

Last Thursday, February 19, this event was presented live through the website of the Quevedo Institute of Humor (IQH) and its YouTube Channel. Raquel Gu, author of the exhibition, together with illustrator José Luis Martín (JLMartín) and Juan García Cerrada, Executive Secretary of the IQH, who moderated the event, participated in the meeting.

The exhibition reviews the professional career of Raquel Garcia Ulldemolins, whose artistic name is Raquel Gu. She is a philologist and translator, but she is dedicated to illustration and graphic humor. Raquel is a frequent contributor to El Jueves, Jot Down, Jot Down Kids, Principia, Píkara and also draws current affairs cartoons for the TV program Els matins de TV3, and for El Matí de Catalunya Ràdio.

Raquel Gu has published several works of graphic humor, including Mamá, papá... no sabéis nada de la vida (Panini, 2012) and Estoy estupenda (Navona, 2018); children's illustrated albums such as Dragonario (B de Blok, 2015) or Monstruopedia (B de Blok, 2016), and has also participated in several collective books.In addition, she has illustrated children's books about science and is the illustrator of Mati, the character created by mathematician Clara Grima. Raquel Gu is also the creator of the drawings for the books in the ChicaGenial and ChicoGenial collections, by authors such as Nora Rodríguez and Matías Néspolo.
