The XV Universidad de Alcalá Award for knowledge transfer University - Society is awarded

The Water Economy Forum has been recognized with the XV Prize Universidad de Alcalá for the transfer of knowledge University Society in the category of Humanities and social and legal sciences.

The jury of the Social Council of Universidad de Alcalá, chaired by Joaquín Leguina Herrán, recognizes in this way the work of the Research Group on Environmental Economics in the creation of the 'Forum of the Water Economy', an analysis platform with an international dimension led by a group of academics.

The Water Economy Forum is an initiative sponsored by Universidad de Alcalá (UAH) led by a group of academics within the framework of the program of activities to commemorate the IV Centenary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes, born in the city of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), the headquarters of the University, with the aim of addressing one of the great challenges of our society: water, as a priority part of the global political agenda and of the European one in particular.

The Forum aims to promote an independent space for reflection and dialogue on the urban water cycle from the perspective of its management and addresses the challenges facing the sector, which are of the highest current and priority, not only in Spain but on a global scale.
